iOS 5 Missing Feature..Settings Shortcuts..(theres now an APP for that)

Shortcut to settings iPhone

UPDATE: You can now do this for Free with nicer icons see my post here. This app is still good if u want to create your own iCons

You know how annoying it is when you want to say turn off the bluetooth or the wifi or the GPS on you iPhone you have to fly through maybe 2-3 different screens. Android Google‘s operating system has this feature since day one. Its incorporated into the notification pull down screen and its really sweet. Why Apple didn’t do this on the latest major update is beyond me.

This isn’t exactly the ideal but its the best ive seen so far without jailbreaking your iPhone.

The App is called IconProject and its worth the €0.79. What it allows you do is create a link to pretty much anything on your iPhone.

See the list below of the shortcuts available. The settings ones work using URL(Homepage) shortcuts.

Hey I was looking for a way to do this just the other day, thanks.
By the way, you can also use Siri to do this in a roundabout way -- just create a contact called “Bluetooth” for example, then add the shortcut code as per your list above to the website address for that contact. Then, open Siri and say “Bluetooth” and she will display a link to the relevant preference setting…
